Lucinda’s Country Inn in El Dorado County was designed to be a bed and breakfast. We have thought of everything to make your stay and memories special. Each of our spacious lodging options features a unique and vibrant theme, color scheme and decor, making each a special, spacious retreat of its own. You will experience quiet, seductively secluded splendor no matter which you choose.
Each guest suite has a separate bed area, a king-size bed with pillow-top mattress and reading lights on the wall on each side of the bed; a sitting area with remote-controlled fireplace and a flat screen TV with HD DirecTV and DVD player; a snack bar (with a snack basket filled with popcorn, hot chocolate and snack bars) and a mini refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, place settings (we’ve even thrown in a wine opener), and sink; and a large bathroom. All have microfiber sheets and robes. There are plush Bamboo towels to make you warm and comfortable. Each room features a different view from its private deck. Relax with your afternoon wine or morning coffee at the table in the snack area, in comfort in the sitting area, or outside on your deck.
Individually controlled heat and air conditioning ensure your year-round comfort; ceiling fans are located throughout the inn. You may find that there is little need to use air conditioning in the summer. Just open your windows with the fan going to enjoy the country quiet and the cool, fresh pine-scented air.
We provide complimentary sodas, water and cream in each room’s refrigerator; and hair dryers and magnifying make-up mirrors, including make-up removal cloths can be found in each room’s bathroom. “Emergency Overnight Kits” are available in case you forgot something. Of course, we are here to make certain your stay is complete and comfortable, so please let us know if you need anything at all.
We love groups! In fact, we give a group discount when you book three rooms or more. Thanks to our hi-tech hide-a-beds in the Laguna and Beate Suites, we can very comfortably accommodate two couples in either suite. Our goal is to pamper you during your stay in the Fair Play Wine Country. We pride ourselves with the hospitality we give to help you become part of the Lucinda’s Country Inn family. In return for our respect to you as part of our family, we ask that you follow our policies and be courteous for your fellow guests.
Check-in time is 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
We understand that life gets in the way of our plans sometimes and cancellations are always difficult for everyone. Those unexpected happenings may require you to change your arrangements: cancel your stay or reschedule your plans. When you know you have to change your plans or cancel your stay more than 14 days before your scheduled arrival there is no fee charged to cancel. If you cancel within 14 days of your planned stay we charge your credit card for the full deposit. If you do not arrive, make a cancellation on the day you plan to arrive, or check out prior to your scheduled check-out date, you are responsible for the full payment for your scheduled stay.
We require $100 deposit at the time of your reservation, which will be refunded if the room is rented to someone else if you have to cancel. If we do NOT swipe your card or process it through our system a 5% additional charge will be added to your total credit card charges for manual processing. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club, American Express and Discover cards, cash, and travelers cheques.
Weddings performed at the Inn must book all rooms for two nights; a two-month cancellation notice is required. Wedding groups staying at the Inn for a nearby wedding have a two-night minimum for a Friday or Saturday ceremony, must book all rooms and have a one-month cancellation requirement. Rates are based on double occupancy. There is a $25 per person charge for additional guests older than 15 years and a $15 per person charge for those under 15 years of age. Using the hide-a-bed for a room with only two guests will incur a $10 charge.
Please: PETS are ALLOWED in the Fair Play Cottage ONLY; maximum of 15 pounds and NOT ALLOWED in the bed.A $50.00 Pet charge will be paid when the room charges are paid.
NO candles! Lucinda’s is a SMOKE FREE the property! Smoking is allowed outside on your deck, bring your own ash tray or ask for one of ours. If we have to clean up your butts there is an ungodly amount charged to your credit card after we clean up the smoking mess, minimum of $250.00.

Please inform us at the time you make your reservation if you will be using a gift certificate/card. Any gift certificate/card must be presented at the time of check-in. A credit card is still required to hold your room when using a gift certificate/card. Call us to purchase a gift certificate for that special someone you want to surprise.
